Equiti Becomes Front-Of-Shirt Sponsor For Four-Time UAE Pro League Champions, Al Wahda FC

Equiti, a global fintech group headquartered in the UAE, has renewed and expanded its sponsorship of Al Wahda FC, the Abu Dhabi club competing in the ADNOC Pro League, for the 2026/27 season. Under the new agreement, Equiti takes front-of-shirt placement on the club’s kits, sharing the position with Abu Dhabi property developer Lead Development.

The renewal follows a 2025/26 season in which Al Wahda FC were crowned ADIB Cup Champions for the fourth time. The club also reached a total broadcast audience of 70.1 million across 760 hours of dedicated television coverage, and recorded 194.5 million in cumulative social media reach across the 2025/6 season.

Equiti’s front-of-shirt branding will appear on Al Wahda’s home, away and goalkeeper kits in the season ahead. The club’s 2026/27 fixture list will include the ADNOC Pro League, the UAE President’s Cup, the ADIB Cup, the QAT–UAE Challenge Cup and the Pro League U23 competition.

The partnership sits under Equiti’s “aim higher” platform, which champions the discipline, ambition and training that move people and communities forward.

“This is a club with real history in Abu Dhabi. Expanding our role here is about showing up for that community, not just for a season, but for what comes after it,” said said Chantelle Johnson, Equiti Group CMO.

“Al Wahda FC embodies the aim higher spirit, and this expanded partnership lets us stand alongside the club, its players and its fans as they push for more this season.”

“This partnership with Equiti is an extension of a long and fruitful relationship that has existed between our two institutions for many years,” said His Excellency Fares Maktoum Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Wahda Football Club Company. “Equiti represents excellence in fintech and in making financial markets accessible, while Al Wahda FC is a key sporting entity in the UAE and the wider region.

What we are announcing for this season reflects how far this relationship has progressed — from a valued sponsorship into a genuine strategic partnership built on shared ambition, discipline, and a commitment to sport, community, and institutional collaborationWe look forward to continuing to grow and strengthen this partnership alongside our players and our fans.”

Al Wahda FC was formed in 1984 through the merger of the Al Emarat and Abu Dhabi clubs, by decree of the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The club has won 19 major domestic honours, including four ADNOC Pro League titles, four ADIB Cups, four UAE Super Cups, three UAE FA Cups, two UAE President’s Cups and two QAT–UAE Challenge Cups.

At Al Nahyan Stadium, the club’s home ground since 1995, Equiti branding will extend across ten minutes of dedicated pitch-side LED advertising every matchday, three giant-screen content windows before kick-off, at half-time and after the final whistle, home and away dugouts, 3D carpet branding, static boards across three general-admission gates and the Equiti Gate supporter entrance, and Equiti branding will appear at the club store in Al Wahda Mall and on the club’s official online shop.

Equiti will also feature exclusively on the club’s training kits, giving the brand year-round visibility across first-team and academy sessions.

The Equiti Challenge, a corporate tournament staged at Al Nahyan Stadium under Al Wahda’s Sponsors Support and Success Partners Initiative, will return for its third edition. The second edition, held on 15 February 2026, brought together eight institutional teams including Abu Dhabi Police, the Judicial Department, Equiti Group, the Department of Municipalities and Transport, Abu Dhabi City Municipality and the Ministry of Justice.

The expanded partnership reflects Equiti’s ongoing commitment to Abu Dhabi, adding to a sponsorship portfolio that already spans sport, culture and community across the UAE.
